Third Coachella Finds Success
Coachella went back to a two day weekend event in 2002 and had a year without any major problems. The headliners were Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bjork, Oasis and Queens of the Stone Age which became the first local band to play at the festival. The strong supporting acts proved to the Indio community that the event had the potential for making money and taking place without conflict. This was the first time the festival financially broke even.
